Warrior Seminar - a required, half-credit class for freshmen which helps ease the transition from middle school. The course also allows students to build study skills, explore their interests and strengths, research potential careers and beyond.
 

TriDistrict CAPS - the TriDistrict Career and College Readiness Initiative is a unique partnership between the school districts of South St. Paul, Inver Grove Heights, and West. St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan. This partnership is a collaborative effort to guarantee that all students of South St. Paul Secondary School, Simley High School, and Two Rivers High School graduate with a plan for their “next step” and has the skills, knowledge, attributes, and attitudes to be successful, wherever their chosen pathway takes them.

LIFESKILLS/CHEMICAL USE PREVENTION
Since 2003, School District 197 has taken a proactive stance in addressing the educational needs of students in regard to healthy choices and avoiding chemical abuse in a program called LIFESKILLS. 

SUSTAINABILITY
LIVEGREEN is the district-wide sustainability program that promotes energy saving and recycling initiatives. Each school throughout the district has a LIVEGREEN team. Check out the Two Rivers LiveGreen here and on instagram!

WELLNESS
To actively engage students, staff and families in physical activity and healthy eating, the District has implemented a Wellness program. Representatives from throughout the district work together on the Wellness Committee to promote nutrition and exercise initiatives. 

The Two Rivers Dollars for Scholars program exists for the sole purpose of soliciting and collecting funds in order to provide scholarships encouraging Two Rivers High School graduates to pursue post- secondary education. Scholarships are awarded solely to graduates from the Senior Class of the current year, from Two Rivers High School.

Since 1985, Henry Sibley, now Two Rivers High School students have received college scholarships through the efforts of community volunteers.

Students have the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally. Past travels have included a marine biology class in Honduras, a visit to our sister schools in Japan and China, and an orchestra tour of Europe.
