Warrior Hall of Fame

To honor the outstanding accomplishments of individuals who have contributed to the School District 197 community.

The Warrior Hall of Fame is an all-inclusive collection of former Warriors who have distinguished themselves in the area of athletics, activities, the fine arts, academics, and service while at Henry Sibley/Two Rivers High School and beyond in their post-high school experiences. The Warrior Hall of Fame will pay tribute, recognize, and enhance School District 197’s tradition of excellence by honoring alumni, advisors, coaches and friends for their accomplishments.

ELIGIBILITY

The following criteria will be used to evaluate nominees to the Warrior Hall of Fame:

The nominee must have a direct connection to School District 197
- Alumni: Nominee must be a Henry Sibley/Two Rivers High School graduate who graduated at least 5 years prior to nomination.
- Staff Member: Staff nominees can be present of former staff members.
- Community Contributor: Community member nominees must have been a loyal and devoted supporter of Henry Sibley/Two Rivers athletics, arts, academics or activities.
Nominees must have distinguished themselves in outstanding achievement, leadership, and/or humanitarian efforts. All candidates will be evaluated on their significant and/or long-term contributions to our school community.
Nominees must be, or have been, a person of good character, a good citizen, and a credit to the community. Please note: The Hall of Fame is not limited to athletes. It is open to anyone who has become a person of distinction from service to country, state, community or school and meets the criteria listed above.

NOMINATE

Inductees are selected through a nomination process. Anyone is welcome to fill out a nomination form for who they feel is a deserving former Henry Sibley/Two Rivers High School student, coach/advisor/teacher or community supporter. SELECTION COMMITTEE MEMBERS

On an annual basis, the principal will determine the selection committee using the following guidelines.

Membership with include:

Principal of Two Rivers High School
Activities Director of Two Rivers High School
Three (3) additional current TRHS staff members
Four (4) at-large community members appointed by the principal/activities director.
The above Committee will select a chairperson, a secretary, and a treasurer for a two (2) year term. The chairperson, secretary, and treasurer may succeed themselves if agreed upon with a majority vote by the Selection Committee. Committee members can’t vote for themselves if nominated. Members will ideally serve for a minimum of three years.
Efforts will be made to stagger new member additions so that the experience of longer term members can be passed down.

ELECTION OF INDUCTEES

The Selection Committee will vote to select a maximum of five (5) inductees to the Warrior Hall of Fame each year.
In years that there are more than 50 nominations, the principal and activities director will pre-screen the nominations and reduce the number reviewed by the committee to 50.
Selected nominees must have the support of 75% of the selection committee which must include the high school principal.
Those nominated one year but not selected will remain in the nomination pool for ten years for future selection consideration.
