Two Rivers Summer School will be offered June 13 - July 1, 2022. Summer school will be offered in-person depending on current COVID conditions. Schedules will be mailed home to students the week of June 6. The Two Rivers Summer School Program is only available to current students or residents of School District 197. 

Breakfast and lunch will be available and served from our cafeteria. Busing information will be available the week of June 6. There is no cost for bus transportation.

For students in grades 9-12 in 2021-22 

Two Rivers students may register for up to three total classes. Each class equals one semester of credit. Students must complete the class and receive a passing grade to receive credit.

Daily Credit Recovery Schedule:

  • Period 1: 8 - 9:40 a.m.
  • Period 2: 9:44 - 11:24 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:24-11:40 a.m.
  • Period 3: 11:44 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Geometry and American Lit only 

This opportunity is open to any current 10th grade student that is taking Intermediate Algebra OR Language Arts 9. The goal of this offering is for students to start their 11th grade year in the 11th grade math or language arts class. If you are unsure if this option is appropriate for your student, please contact your student's counselor. Busing is provided to and from for students that need it. All students will have access to lunch following the course. 

June 13-July 1, 2022
8:00 - 11:30 a.m.


July 25-August 12, 2022
8:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Students must complete both sessions to earn a full-year credit. Students may only select one course for a full-year credit.

For students in grade 8 in 2021-2022

Fresh Start helps incoming 9th grade students stay on track so they're prepared to succeed in high school. The program focuses on math, reading, writing, and career and college readiness. Students who complete Fresh Start will earn 1.0 elective credit.

Daily Fresh Start Schedule:

  • Period 1: 8:05 - 9:15 a.m.
  • Period 2: 9:15 - 10:30 a.m.
  • Break: 10:30 - 10:50 a.m.
  • Period 3: 10:50 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.
  • Period 4: 12:05 - 1:15 p.m.

For students in grade 8 in 2021-2022
Session 2
July 25-August 12
8 - 11:30 a.m.

This program will prepare students for success in rigorous courses like AP, CIS, or advanced subject area material.  Reading, writing, critical thinking, and study skills will be the focus. Students who meet all course expectations will earn one semester of elective credit. Busing to and from school will be provided as well as breakfast and lunch. This course is open to all incoming 9th grade students who are registered for a rigorous course (Advanced Language Arts 9, PreAP Science, AP Human Geography).
